Notes

'Coconut Magic' forest gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'Coconut Magic') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its dense, evergreen growth carries fragrant blooms in spring and summer, and bees and birds visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Star jasmine, Mexican petunia, Lemongrass, and Calla lily.
