Notes
'Command Performance' peony (Paeonia 'Command Performance') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant carmine-red flowers grow as 7 inch globes, with one bud per stem. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Don Hollingsworth bred it.
Pairs well with Hosta, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Black Hero tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
