Notes

'Cosmopolitan' spotted dead nettle (Lamium maculatum 'Cosmopolitan') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, loamy soil. It creeps, grows fast, and tolerates drought, with light pink blooms in spring and summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Sagae hosta, Canadian white violet, and Autumn crocus.
