Notes

'Crazy Days' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Crazy Days') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant red blooms open in early to late spring and have a creamy yellow center of frilled petals. New leaves emerge dusty rose-red and mature to green. The stems hold the flowers up, so you do not need to add support.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Blazing star, Sedge, and Miss Kim lilac.
