Notes
'Csilla' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Csilla') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, semi-double white flowers open in mid spring and sit upright above the dark green foliage. Pink flares give each open bloom an inner glow. Plants reach about 36 inches tall and show no stem damage after Wisconsin winters.
Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Niobe clematis, and Jeana garden phlox.
