Notes

Cucumberleaf sunflower (Helianthus debilis) is a perennial for containers, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Yellow petals surround reddish centers, and the flowers attract butterflies, bees, and birds. The stems sprawl along the ground, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Statice, Purple sage, and Lemon verbena.
