Notes
'Decio' apple (Malus domestica 'Decio') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late spring and attracts bees. The fruit is small and mostly green with a red flush, and it keeps well into the following year. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple nearby for pollination.
Pairs well with Lingonberry, Sedge, and Festiva Maxima peony.
