Notes
'Delea' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Delea') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them. It grows fast and tolerates drought. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Sasanqua camellia, Desert willow, Artichoke, and Tuberose.
