Notes
'Delightful' peony (Paeonia 'Delightful') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Cream blooms with pink shading open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Ox-eye daisy, Toad lily, The President clematis, and Greig's tulip.
