Notes
Deutzia (Deutzia rosea) is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It reaches 24 to 36 inches tall and wide, so it suits small spaces and compact hedges. Pale pink flowers open in late spring and early summer, which brings soft color to the garden after spring bulbs fade.
Pairs well with St. John's wort, Blue Chiffon rose of sharon, Queen of Night tulip, and Clematis.
