Notes

'Durango Red' French marigold (Tagetes patula 'Durango Red') is an annual for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The compact, clumping plants grow 8 to 12 inches tall with red blooms that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Deer tend to pass it by. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Rubenza cosmos, Old Mexico zinnia, and Butterfly sweet pea.
