Notes
'Düsseldorfer Stolz' thrift (Armeria maritima 'Düsseldorfer Stolz') is a perennial for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a slow-growing, clumping evergreen mound up to 12 inches tall. Red flowers appear in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Silver sage, Greig's tulip, and Goldenrod.
