Notes

'Dutch' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Dutch') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and sandy or loamy soil. The grey-green evergreen leaves are fragrant, and violet-blue flowers open from early to late summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Ruby rose, Little bluestem, and Creeping thyme.
