Notes

'Eddisbury' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Eddisbury') is a shrub for specimen planting, accents, woodland gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a broad shape, and bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Midwinter Fire common dogwood, Spring snowflake, and Lenten rose.
