'Edwardsi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Edwardsi') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Give it a spot where the woody stems can stay in place from year to year, and cut the blooms for bouquets.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Prairie dropseed, Grape hyacinth, and Christmas fern.
