Notes

'El Nino' hosta (Hosta 'El Nino') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads 30 inches or more, so give it room. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Lavender flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Sedge, and Little Hottie panicle hydrangea.
