Notes
'Exceptional!' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Exceptional!') is a perennial for mixed borders, rock gardens, herb gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Tall spikes of pure white flowers rise above broad, thick, silver-green leaves. It blooms from early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn, and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Cheddar pink, Autumn moor grass, Globemaster allium, and Elfin mother of thyme.
