Notes

'Fairly' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Fairly') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The clumping plants are drought tolerant and grow at a moderate pace.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Blue fescue, and Monsieur Jules Elie peony.
