Notes

'Farrow' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Farrow') is a shrub for borders, winter interest, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It grows fast and reaches 36 to 48 inches tall and wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Common snowberry, Spotted joe-pye weed, Sensitive fern, and Goldsturm black-eyed Susan.
