Notes
Father's Dream tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa Father's Dream) is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light pink single flowers open in early to mid spring and face upward. Each bloom has black flares at the base of the petals and a noticeable fragrance. The upright plant reaches about 55 inches and carries blue-green foliage.
Pairs well with Nepeta, Earth Angel hosta, Pink Impression tulip, and Japanese spirea.
