Notes

'Fendai Chenshan' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Fendai Chenshan') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its white-pink, semi-double flowers are 9 inches across and face upward, with darker pink at the center and frilled outer petals. The new leaves emerge deep red and mature to green with reddish-brown edges.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Jeana garden phlox, Niobe clematis, and Black Parrot tulip.
