Notes

'Feuersiegel' sneezeweed (Helenium 'Feuersiegel') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to wet soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Little bluestem, and Culver’s root.
