Notes

'Zimbelstern' sneezeweed (Helenium 'Zimbelstern') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to wet soil of most types. Yellow rays and bronze center disks open from early to late summer and again in autumn. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Foxtail barley, and Fanal astilbe.
