Notes

'Filip' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Filip') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen column. Birds visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Eastern white pine, Berry Poppins winterberry, Limeglow creeping juniper, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
