Notes
'Filippa' apple (Malus domestica 'Filippa') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. 'Filippa' Johannsen bred it in the 1880s. Bees visit the spring blooms. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple nearby for pollination.
Pairs well with Juneberry, Rhubarb, Garlic chives, and African marigold.
