Notes
'Fizzy' carnation (Dianthus 'Fizzy') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and the fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees. The foliage stays evergreen, and the plant tolerates drought. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, Early Sunrise largeflower tickseed, Lavender, and Blue fescue.
