Notes

'Fragrant Star' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Fragrant Star') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. White flowers open in early to late spring and have a sweet scent. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Sum and Substance hosta, and Christmas fern.
