Notes

'Fred Boutin' lavandin (Lavandula intermedia 'Fred Boutin') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). Give it full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. This large, mounding plant has fragrant grey-green leaves and purple flowers that bloom in summer and again in early autumn. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Catnip, Chaste tree, and California poppy.
