Notes

'Fridjof Nansen' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Fridjof Nansen') is a bulb for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It bears red blooms that stand about 25 inches tall in winter and spring. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Feverfew, and Mondo grass.
