Notes

'Frosted Encore' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Frosted Encore') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double white flowers have faint blush pink at the base of the petals. Each stem carries one bud and is strong enough to hold it up. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1992.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Mock orange, Niobe clematis, and Garlic chives.
