Notes

'Gamad VI' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Gamad VI') is a shrub for pollinator gardens, specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast into a dense shape, and its blooms from early to late summer draw butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Once settled in, it handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Boxwood, and Red spider lily.
