Notes
'Garden Fairy' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Garden Fairy') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Semi-double white flowers with cream centers open in mid spring, one per stem. The green leaves have a purple-bronze wash, especially in early growth. Franklin and Angela Chow bred it, and it grows to about 4 feet tall.
Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Blue fescue, Fire Island hosta, and Queen of Night tulip.
