Notes

'Gateway' spotted joe-pye weed (Eutrochium maculatum 'Gateway') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It grows fast and stands erect, and the fragrant blooms draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Bee balm, Purple moor grass, and Sweet pepperbush.
