Notes

'Purple Bush' spotted joe-pye weed (Eutrochium maculatum 'Purple Bush') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. It grows fast and stands upright, and its fragrant blooms attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Give it room in a wet spot and it will fill in quickly.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Allegheny monkeyflower, and Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea.
