Notes
'Glow Light' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Glow Light') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers are pink and red with a darker center. They open in early summer on strong stems, one bud per stem. John and Dot McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1995.
Pairs well with Mock orange, Fire Island hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Blue fescue.
