Notes
'Gold Drop' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Gold Drop') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that reaches 48 to 72 inches tall. Birds visit it.
Pairs well with Emerald Pink moss phlox, Red fescue, and Shrubby cinquefoil.
