Notes

'Grey Owl' common juniper (Juniperus 'Grey Owl') is a shrub for hedges, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays evergreen, smells fragrant, and handles dry spells well. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 48 to 72 inches wide, so give it room.

Pairs well with Rock soapwort, Globosa Colorado spruce, and Red fescue.
