Notes

'Grove' apple (Malus domestica 'Grove') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate and has a dense habit. Early to late spring flowers draw bees to the tree. The Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station bred it in 1935.

Pairs well with Flowering quince, High-bush blueberry, Black Parrot tulip, and Irish moss.
