Notes
Hairy goldenrod (Solidago hispida) is a perennial for meadow plantings, naturalized areas, and cottage borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. It blooms with yellow flowers in mid to late summer and again in early to mid autumn. It looks much like Solidago bicolor, but its flowers are yellow instead of white.
Pairs well with Blue grama, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Panicle hydrangea.
