Notes

'Haku-ho' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Haku-ho') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its woody stems stay in the garden through winter, so it makes a lasting anchor for a mixed border. You can also cut stems for indoor arrangements. Sakata & Co. bred it in 1931.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Christmas fern, Paperbark maple, and Black Parrot tulip.
