Notes

'Halo Violet' viola (Viola cornuta 'Halo Violet') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It forms a clumping, evergreen mound about 12 inches wide with fragrant flowers. Blooms appear in spring, summer, and autumn, and they draw butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Ballade tulip, Burgundy Glow bugle, and Fringed bleeding heart.
