Notes

'Henry Bockstoce' peony (Paeonia 'Henry Bockstoce') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The tall, dark red double flowers have a rose center and a sweet scent, and strong stems hold the blooms up well. William S. Bockstoce bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Cheerfulness daffodil, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Miss Kim lilac.
