'Hidcote' st. andrew's-cross (Hypericum hidcoteense 'Hidcote') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies and birds visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer.
