Notes
'High Roller' red-hot poker (Kniphofia 'High Roller') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Coral to red blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Hummingbird's mint, Shasta daisy, and Prairie dropseed.
