Notes
'Hillside Black Beauty' simple-stemmed bugbane (Actaea simplex 'Hillside Black Beauty') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, woodland settings, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and has fragrant blooms.
