Notes
'Hokocentennial' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Hokocentennial') is a shrub for cut flowers, cottage gardens, hedges, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows fast with an erect habit and blooms from early to late summer. It is also salt tolerant.
Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Praying Hands hosta, and Autumn fern.
