Notes

'Hokomarevo' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Hokomarevo') is a shrub for cut flowers, cottage gardens, hedges, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast to 60 to 72 inches tall and wide, and flowers open in many colors from early to late summer. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Autumn fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Hornbeam.
