Notes

'Holiday' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Holiday') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Yellow and golden blooms draw butterflies, bees, and birds, and the plant tolerates drought. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. You can cut the flowers for bouquets.

Pairs well with Apricot Lemonade cosmos, Profusion Red zinnia, and Red fescue.
