Notes
'Ilvobo' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Ilvobo') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White blooms open in early to late summer and mature to red-purple. Bees visit the flowers, and the shrub tolerates salt. It sits low on the menu for deer.
Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Western sword fern, and Spanish bluebell.
