Notes
'Ilvomindy' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Ilvomindy') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White blooms age to pinkish red and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The shrub also tolerates salt.
Pairs well with Miss Kim lilac, Fire and Ice hosta, and Western sword fern.
